يذاب 90–100 جم من البودر في 1 لتر ماء بارد جداً مع التقليب الجيد، ويفضل إضافة بعض الثلج للحفاظ على برودة المحلول أثناء التشغيل.
تُنقع البطاطس بعد التقطيع والغسيل لمدة 2–3 دقائق، ثم تُصفى جيداً وتترك لمدة 30–60 ثانية قبل القلي.
تُقلى البطاطس مباشرة في زيت على درجة حرارة 175–180°م حتى الحصول على لون ذهبي وقرمشة مثالية.
لضمان أفضل أداء، يفضل عدم تحميل القلاية بكميات كبيرة دفعة واحدة حتى لا تنخفض حرارة الزيت أثناء القلي.
