The company's products reveal a significant development in the level of engineering manufacturing that Egyptian companies have reached in recent years, especially in the railway seating and mass transportation sector, which is one of the sectors that historically depended on foreign imports.
With the expansion of the Egyptian market in the manufacture of cars, buses, and public transportation, the company began building an integrated manufacturing system that includes:
Metal structures
Synthetic foam
Plastic injection
Industrial sewing and upholstery
Stabilization and movement systems
Endurance and safety tests
In 2016, the company launched an entity specialized in plastic injection with the aim of increasing the proportion of local components and reducing dependence on external suppliers, before later launching “Trust Medi”, which specializes in furniture and medical seats.
The products displayed by the company reveal its entry into a relatively advanced level of manufacturing in the railway and metro sector, where multiple models of chairs have appeared:
Intercity trains
VIP carts
Tourist buses
Metro and mass transit
Waiting stations
The products also carry European railway standards such as:
EN 45545 for fire protection
UIC 566 and UIC 567 for Engineering Loads and Comfort
These are specifications required in the manufacture of modern train and metro vehicles, especially in European and export markets.
According to the chronology presented by the company within its industrial pavilion, “Trust” began exporting its products to Saudi Arabia and Africa since 2012, before later expanding into the railway seat sector and beginning exports to Morocco. The company also later announced its entry into the European and Latin American markets and exports to 4 continents.
The company indicates that it currently produces about 700,000 seats annually, with a workforce exceeding 1,000 employees, and a local component percentage of up to 95% in some products, which is one of the highest percentages within the feeding transport industries sector in Egypt.
The expansion of the Trust comes in conjunction with a broad Egyptian plan to localize the transportation and railway industries, which includes manufacturing train and metro cars locally and reducing the import bill, in parallel with projects to modernize railways, the metro, and the high-speed electric train.
During recent years, Egypt has signed huge contracts to manufacture train and metro vehicles locally through companies such as “Nirc,” in addition to expanding the base of feeding industries related to transportation, which has opened the way for Egyptian companies such as “Trust” to enter strongly into the supply chains for railways and buses.
The company no longer focuses only on traditional car seats, but has expanded to include manufacturing tourist bus seats, microbus and minibus seats, train and metro seats, station chairs, and stadium seats, in addition to boat and light aircraft seats.
